Before Credits, Avengers: Endgame is Exactly 2 Hours, 48 Minutes and 56 Seconds Long

DCP (digital cinema) files for the highly-anticipated Avengers: Endgame are making their way into movie theaters. According to information provided to theaters, the movie is exactly 3 hours and 57 seconds long. Excluding any credits and after-credit scenes, the movie is exactly 2 hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds long. That time is provided to theaters, so they may know when to turn on lights.

The mid-credits (and including any mid-credit scenes) end at 2 hours, 53 minutes and 17 seconds.

This seems to suggest a mid-credit scene, which was absent on Infinity War. 4 minutes and 21 seconds is the gap between the beginning of the mid-credits and the end-credits. As animated mid-credits are usually around 2 minutes, that leaves around another 2 minutes for a mid-credit scene or sequence.

By comparison, the mid-credits for Avengers: Infinity War were just 2 minutes and 32 seconds long.

Disney has previously given theaters preliminary runtimes of 165 and 182 minutes. This however is the final, official runtime as it is the one of final DCP files sent to theaters.

Avengers: Endgame opens in the U.S. with opening night shows on April 25th. It opens internationally on April 24. Press screenings are scheduled for the 23rd and the red-carpet premiere for the 22nd. We’re, quite literally, in the endgame now.
