Fathom Events will bring the classic 1950 True Grit back into multiplexes this May as part of their TCM film series.
The dates for the screenings are:
Sunday, May 5, 2019 – 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. (local time, some locations only 1PM)
Wednesday, May 8, 2019 – 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (local time)

True Grit was the only film which won John Wayne an Oscar and also won an academy award for Best Original Song. Roger Ebert called the film “a masterpiece … the Western you should see if you only see one Western.” The screening will also feature an introduction and closing commentary from TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz.
