Black Widow to Include 22 Minutes of Expanded Aspect Ratio in IMAX

As with previous Marvel films, the upcoming Black Widow will include expanded aspect ratio scenes for its IMAX release. According to information provided by IMAX through Comscore, the movies will include “22 minutes of expanded aspect ratio exclusively in IMAX”.

As the movie was of course short with digital cameras, those scenes will most certainly all be 1.9:1. and a slight expansion from the regular 2.39:1 aspect ratio. Both Avengers Infinity War and Endgame were entirely presented in that aspect ratio for their IMAX screenings, while movies such as Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok and Captain Marvel had select sequences.

Black Widow itself is confirmed to clock at exactly 134 minutes and 0 seconds. That means the 1.9:1 shots account for 16% of the film.
