Alita: Battle Angel Blu-ray to Include Robert Rodriguez’s 10 Minute Cooking School on Iron City Chocolate

In the past, director Robert Rodriguez has starred in “10 minute film schools” on the special features for home video releases of his films. In addition, he made multiple “10 minute cooking schools”, in which he described how to create a certain food item from his film. Alita: Battle Angel‘s home video release will be no exception to the latter.

As Fox announced today, among the film’s home video special features will be Robert Rodriguez describing how to cook the chocolate sold in Iron City and eaten by Alita in one of the film’s scenes.

Other food items for which Rodriguez has done 10 minute cooking schools include Once Upton a Time in Mexico‘s Puerco Pilibi, Sin City‘s Breakfast Tacos and Short’s‘s Vulcano Cookies.

Rodriguez is also a guest on Jon Favreau’s upcoming Netflix cook show called The Chef Show.

Alita: Battle Angel will be released on digital July 9 and on physical media July 23rd. The cooking special will be available on the Blu-ray and Digital releases of the film, but not on the DVD. The combo pack for the film is set to include the 3D and 2D Blu-rays as well as a 4K and digital copy.

In the meantime, if you’re craving Iron City chocolate you might want to give the recipe of Taiwanese YouTuber RICO a try, although it might very well vary from what Rodriguez cooked up.
