“Zack Snyder’s Justice League” Is Not the Formal Title of the Snyder Cut [UPDATE]

On Monday afternoon, director Zack Snyder and HBO MAX officially announced a 2021 release of the “Snyder Cut” in 2021. Although the image attached to the announcement reads “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”, that will not be the actual name of the movie.

“No, that is not the formal title,” said Candice McDonough, a spokesperson for Warner Bros. Media.

The definite title of the director’s cut of 2017’s Justice League is currently to be determined and not yet set in stone.

“We don’t have a title yet,” said Raina Falcon, a spokesperson for HBO MAX.

Zack Snyder’s live unveiling of the release plans for his vision of the movie can be found below.

UPDATE 2021: In August 2020, Snyder was asked by fans if the title was indeed “Zack Snyder’s Justice League”. Snyder replied that this was his preferred title and the one he was going for, but that legal reasons restricted it. It now appears Snyder has won the battle and that Warner has changed course, as the title is listed as “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” on the official MPAA website. The website however also lists “Justice League: The Snyder Cut” as an alternative title.
